Introducing the Emma L. Wilson King Foundation, Inc.
The Emma L. Wilson King Foundation is an esteemed civic and educational organization devoted to enhancing the neighborhoods and community of East St. Louis, Illinois. As a non-profit foundation, our mission is to uplift vital aspects of East St. Louis, including public parks, gardens, buildings, neighborhood organizations, and educational opportunities for both the young and the elderly through scholarships and community centers.
At the Emma L. Wilson King Foundation, we undertake various significant initiatives:
Annual Coat Giveaway: Every year, we distribute over 100 coats to elementary and middle school children from East St. Louis schools, ensuring they stay warm during the cold winter months.
Annual Scholarship: As part of the Emma L. Wilson King and James Henry King scholarship funds, we award college scholarships to four or more high school seniors each year.
Restoration of the Jones Park Fountain: A key project of our foundation involves the restoration of the historic lily pond fountain at Jones Park. By rebuilding this 80-year-old fountain and its surroundings, we aim to revitalize the community and provide a beautiful green space for future generations.

Join us at the EmmaFest!
We are excited to announce the third annual EmmaFest, also known as the East St. Louis Family Fun Festival, sponsored by the Emma L. Wilson King Foundation, Inc. This event is open to all ages, and admission is free. The festival serves as a platform to offer free rides and activities for the youth of the community while showcasing local talent. Last year’s festival attracted approximately 1,200 attendees and was a resounding success. With your support, we can achieve even greater accomplishments in our community and at this event.
